Moonlight Slumber, Starlight Support Supreme Crib/Toddler Bed Mattress Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently sent a Moonlight Slumber, Starlight Support Supreme Crib Mattress to review.  This all foam mattress is very light and makes changing crib sheets a breeze.  The Starlight Support Supreme offers greater comfort than the Starlight Support.  This is their most luxurious mattress and has all the benefits of the Starlight Support but has an additional layer of plushness.  The infant side remains standard with the high density extra firm foam that is found in the Starlight Support mattress.  However, the other side is a firm foam layered with a viscoelastic “memory foam.”  Viscoelastic foam, originally designed by NASA, is now being used in premium toddler and youth mattresses everywhere by Moonlight Slumber.  Mattresses are available in crib, twin and full sizes so your child can still have great support as they grow.

The Starlight Support Supreme memory foam mattress is hypoallergenic, antimicrobially treated, and open flame resistant.  It provides the older baby/toddler (9+ months), with the ultimate sleep comfort by conforming to the child’s contours, supporting their growing joints and keeping their spine in perfect alignment.

The first thing my husband and I noticed with this mattress, is the weight.  It is so much lighter than the innerspring mattress Luke had. That heavy mattress made sheet changing a real workout.  The second thing we noticed is how comfortable and firm it felt.  We love that it has memory foam that will let Luke sleep comfortably and provide his growing body all the support it needs.  He just loves it and is sleeping very well.  We love that it is quality made and constructed of quality and supreme materials.

Starlight Support Supreme - Crib Mattress All Foam

I take great pleasure in announcing to Mommy Rambling’s readers that Moonlight Slumber is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win a Moonlight Slumber, Starlight Support Supreme Crib/Toddler Bed Mattress.  Thank you Moonlight Slumber for the review mattress and for sponsoring this awesome give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Give-Away open to residents of the contiguous 48 US States.

Diggin Active, NEW Rock ‘n’ Rolla Moo Cow 2 in 1 Rocker/Ride On Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Diggin Active contacted me recently and asked if I would like to review a new product for them.  When I saw the Rock ‘n’ Rolla Moo Cow, I said yes in a hurry.  This is such a cute toy.  The cow itself is inflatable like a rubber ball and they provide the needle you need to pump it up, with a ball or tire pump.  They also give you the wrench you need to attach the  wheels and that is stored in the base of the cow.  They have really thought of everything to help make things easy for assembly.  Luke wanted to put the wheels on right away, so we did and this is such a fun scooter type ride on.  The cow has soft handles for little ones to hold on as the scoot around.  The multi-directional wheels spin 360 degrees for loads of fast scooting fun!!!  The base of the scooter is contoured to be furniture friendly in your home.  Can be used outdoors and in.  Maximum rider weight is 55 lbs.

So what do you think?  Do you know a little one who would love this?  If so you will be glad to know Diggin Active is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their very own Cow Rock ‘n’ Rolla.  Thanks Diggin Active for the review Rock ‘n’ Rolla and for sponsoring this awesome give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!

Then we paired that with the El Born Tile Print Shirt available in sizes sm(6-12m) to 11/12 years.   Barcelona’s tiny El Born district is characterized by narrow waterfront streets.  It’s medieval, artsy and hip all at once.  This shirt will definitely be coming along on our vacation.  The shirt is 100% cotton and super comfy.  The retail price on this shirt is $35.00.

Bumkins Waterproof SuperBib Review!!!

Bumkins

So today, I received two Bumkins Waterproof SuperBibs to review.  I immediately noticed the patterns and I just loved them.  The owls, which are extremely popular right now, are so cute.  The space bear theme, really popped and it was immediately chosen by Ethan as his.  The green mom in me loves they have no PVC, no Phthalates, vinyl , no BPA and are lead safe.  The catch all pocket is great for crumbs and drips.  The fabric is waterproof on both sides and resists most stains.  They are machine washable and have a Velcro neck closure.

We decided to christen these bibs with tomato sauce.

After they were done, I simply wiped the bibs down and we were ready to go.

I am very impressed with these bibs and they will definitely be coming with us on our vacation.  It will be super easy to just wipe the bibs down instead of carting around soiled bibs that need to be laundered.  Please visit the Bumkins Website and take a look at all the available patterns and sizes.  www.bumkins.com

Great Idea for Toddlers and Pre-Schoolers.

If you have toddlers or pre-schoolers who are learning the alphabet, how to spell their name and other words, then you may find this helpful.  My kids have the Kidkraft Avalon table and chairs.  I love this table because it is big and sturdy and adults can sit comfortably on the chairs.  Anyway, I was in Sams Club the other day and saw this very large magnetic white board that happened to have a cork board on the other side.  It was under $16.00, so quite a good deal.  I bought it, and upon bringing it home noticed that it is the same size as the kids’ table.  I put it on and added some Melissa and Doug alphabet magnetic letters, then I called in the kiddies and they had so much fun.  Well, we had fun and it has been played with everyday since then.  Now any kind of magnet will work on the board and I also bought them the Expo washable dry erase markers for children.  Additionally I purchased the Crayola dry erase crayons, so they can practice writing their letters or other art on the board.  Just wanted to share this as it is an inexpensive and educational ideas that kids will love.

Please excuse the logs, we were building a fire..

Snowy Friday!!!

Well, Friday we had a snow storm.  Nothing too tremendous but definitely enough for fun.  The little ones went out to play and Daddy snow-blowed the driveway.    Then when Ethan said his face had a boo boo (his cheeks were cold) we went in and got toasty warm.  I put on my Snoopy socks that Santa left in my stocking and  then we relaxed and Ethan drew a tractor on his doodle pro which I thought was just great.

I cannot believe it is almost the end of January.  Tomorrow will be the 25th!!!   I think January is a hard month for most people.  I just heard on the news the other day that the third Monday in January is the most depressing day of the year.  I guess with the holidays being over, bills coming in to be paid from holiday spending and the winter setting in just leads some to feel depressed.  Let’s embrace the fact that the days are getting longer and that January is just about over.  Just think next month is so close to Spring.  Before we know it we will be seeing the first crocus break through the cold ground.  That little brave crocus shows that even in the depth of winter their lies the hope of spring.  Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

The second of January brings the second gorgeous day of the new year!!!

January 2nd and a beautiful mild day.  I set out on my walk with my little man Ethan and Sassy Sassafras.  Ethan was so happy to go along and skipped almost the whole way.  He did stop to throw snow rocks into the lake but they did not make a big splash like in the warmer weather but skipped across the icy lake top.  It was Sassy’s first time around the lake and she was just as good as Zazzy (Zoey).  At one point Ethan picked her up and wanted to hold her but I appealed to him to let her walk and get good exercise too.   I love how taking a nice walk outside just energizes the body and minds of adults, children and dogs alike.  We all returned home, happy, refreshed and grateful.  Hope everyone is getting out and enjoying the mild temps we are having.
