SmartScoop® Self-Scooping Litter Box Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

We have a Pixie Bobcat named Max.  Max is the most affectionate and cuddly cat I have ever seen.  He wants to be with us all the time and we will often have to claim our space back or Max will take over.  Max is great with the little kids and they can do whatever with him and he just tolerates it.  He is a great cat so when I had the opportunity to review a self scooping litter box for Max, I was ecstatic.  I was asked to review the SmartScoop Self-Scooping Litter Box.  It arrived and my husband put it all together and we tried it out to see how Max would like it.  He loves it and so do we.  Cleaning is a breeze and that makes everyone happy.  SmartScoop is motion activated so once the cat leaves the litter box, an internal timer will count down for 15 minutes, allowing for the clumping process to take place.  The waste unit will then move, raking the clump forward and into the waste tray.  The waste unit will then return to its original position for the next time the cat uses the litter box.  You will now spend less time scooping and more time with your cat.

This is Max.

So do you have a cat or two who would love to have a self-scooping litter box?  If so, you will be happy to know that SmartScoop is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win a SmartScoop Self-Scooping Litter Box for their feline family member.  Thank you SmartScoop for the review litter box and for sponsoring this give-away on Mommy Ramblings that is the Cat’s Meow!!!

BSW Toy Inc.,Dinosaur Shrinky Dinks in 3D Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I remember Shrinky Dinks when I was little so when I was asked to review them, it sounded like fun.  We chose the Dinosaur Shrinky Dinks in 3D.  My little ones are a bit to young for this since it requires intircate tracing, coloring and cutting so it is best for older kids.  I did the coloring and cutting and my little ones were happy to watch.  I colored a few pieces with colored pencils and then outlined the pieces with permanent black marker.  Then I cut them and put the pieces on a piece of aluminum foil with the edges turned up to make a tray and placed them on a cookie sheet and in the oven.  Then the kids really had fun watching how fast they shrink and then lay flat.  It happens within 1-3 minutes so you do not leave the oven and watch the whole time.  After we took them out they were cool and ready to assemble very quickly.  This is a great craft idea for kids and there are so many themes to choose from.

So do you think this looks like something your kids would enjoy?  If so, you will be happy to know that BSW Toy Inc.  is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their own set of 3D Shrinky Dinks.  Thank you BSW Toy Inc. for the review Shrinky Dinks and for sponsoring this great give-away on Mommy Ramblings.

FANSHOES Womens and Childrens Rain Boots Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

FANSHOES - Casual fashion, Fanatic Passion

I was asked to review some rain boots from FANSHOES recently.  I chose the Georgetown Scattered Hoya Boot for my rain boots and the Scattered Virginia Tech kids boot for my four year old.  When they arrived he put them on and went stomping out in the yard.  They are super for rain and mud and are waterproof and clean up very easily.  His 2 year old brother loved them so much he took them to bed with him that night, he did not care that they were too big for him.  I love my FANSHOES rain boots.  I wear a size 11 and many rain boots only go up to a 10 so I was thrilled to find size 11 and they fit so great and are comfortable with the microfiber insole.  They are comfortable and waterproof, great for rain and garden mud.  We love these boots.  Check out FANSHOES great blog here.

I have some great news if you think these rain boots by FANSHOES are great.  They have given me a promo code for my readers to get $10.00 off each pair of rain boots purchased.  Just use promo code momma when placing your order.  Code is valid August 1-31.  The other great news, is that FANSHOES is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their choice (if available) of kids or womens’ rain boots.  Thank you FANSHOES the review boots and for sponsoring this awesome give-away on Mommy Ramblings.

Balboa Baby Shopping Cart & High Chair Cover Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Balboa Baby

I was recently sent a Shopping Cart & High Chair Cover from Balboa Baby to review.  I am a well know germophobe and I have to tell you, that I think Shopping Cart Covers are one of the greatest inventions of all time.  The problem with some that I see, is that they do not cover the entire cart.  I really do not see the point in that, are the sides less germy for your baby?  I like shopping cart covers that cover the entire cart, this cover from Balboa Baby does just that.  It comes in great colors and patterns, is soft and comfy for your child and is easy to put on and take off.  This cover can also be used as a high chair cover when eating out and the cover is not bulky and can fold up really small to fit right in your diaper bag.

2 | Four elastic corners for easy one-hand installation.

3 | Toy loops to attach baby’s favorite playthings.

4 | Extra wide safety strap comfortably keeps baby secure while attaching cover to shopping cart or high chair.

So do you think this is a great Shopping Cart & High Chair Cover?  Then you will be glad to know Balboa Baby is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their very own Balboa Baby Shopping Cart & High Chair Cover.  Thank you Balboa Baby for the review cover and sponsoring this awesome give-away!!!

Fat Brain Toys, Tobbles Review & Give-Away (5 Winners)!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently sent a new toy from Fat Brain Toys to review.  I received Tobbles which is an innovative new play dynamic with endless possibilities.  You can stack it, wobble it, twist it and balance it.  Tobbles features six weighted spheres which nest inside each other and can be balanced in all sorts of clever and colorful combinations.  The interplay of physics and design results in a stacking toy that teaches balance, proportion, color and structure while encouraging sensory exploration, hand-eye coordination, visual-spatial awareness, balance and more.

Straight out of the package Luke just loved Tobbles.  He stacked, he wobbled, he twisted, he nested and found great ways to arrange the Tobbles. He played and played and later when his 4 year old brother saw them he played with them until bedtime.  There is something strangely addicting about this design-savvy toy.  I have to admit I was playing with it myself after they were in bed.

As a mother I love when I can find toys that are stimulating and fun for my children.  Tobbles definitely delivers and my kids love it.  So do you think Tobbles would be a great toy for a little one in your life?  If so, you will be thrilled to know that Fat Brain Toys is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  Five, yes 5, blog readers will win a set of Tobbles!!!  Thank you Fat Brain Toys for the review set of Tobbles and for sponsoring this spectacular give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Give-Away open to residents of the USA.

Emjoi Micro-Pedi Review!!!

Okay, nobody likes to talk about rough dry feet, but if you are like me you hate the feeling of rough dry heels.  I was asked to review the Emjoi Micro-Pedi and my heels definitely needed some love.  I took this nifty gadget out of the box after receiving it, it was already fitted with the extra coarse skin roller so I just turned it loose on my heels and in seconds it went to work leaving me with smooth soft heels. You do not need to fear cuts, nicks or pain with the Emjoi Micro-Pedi as it painlessly buffs away the rough dry skin.  It comes with a magenta roller for coarse skin.  Between the two rollers you will have beautiful smooth feet that look like you just returned from the spa.  You can watch a video of the Emjoi in action here.

STEP2 Art Desk Easel Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently sent a STEP2 Art Desk Easel to review.  This new STEP2 product will be introduced in the Fall.  We opened the box and laid out the pieces for assembly.  There were a few little hitches along the way, we were shorted a few screws but STEP2 had them overnighted to us and the screw for the easel clip did not seem long enough because when we would lift the clip it would come unfastened. My husband used a larger screw and a washer and was able to make it work well.  Other than that assembly was quick and easy and the kids were using it in no time flat.

The pieces ready for assembly

Desk Side

Easel Side

With 2 little ones who are always doing things together this dual sided toy works well.  One can be at the easel and the other on the desk. The desk top opens to store craft supplies and papers.  The kids loved the marker holder and were very happy to keep returning their markers to the holder when done.  The dry erase boards on the desk top and easel are easy to erase and clean.  Sitting and coloring at the desk was comfortable for both of my children.

So do you have some little ones in your life that you think would enjoy this Art Desk Easel?  Then you will be happy to hear that STEP2 is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their own STEP2 Art Desk Easel.  Thank you  STEP2 for the review product and for sponsoring this awesome give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Give-Away open to residents of the contiguous 48 US States.

Lotus Home Cleaning Sanitizing System Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Let me tell you, when this Lotus Home Cleaning System showed up on my doorstep I was thrilled.  It is no secret that I am germophobe, but I also worry about using strong cleaners filled with chemicals.   The lotus® patent technology infuses cold tap water with an extra oxygen atom, creating a natural sanitizer. By passing air through 4,500 volts of electricity, the lotus® system splits oxygen molecules into atoms and forces this extra atom to combine and form liquefied ozone. The third oxygen atom becomes the sanitizing agent, a natural oxidant — which kills bacteria and viruses, and neutralizes pesticides.  I admit, I was skeptical at first, but I got the unit set up and fired it up to make my first bottle.  With the included microfiber towels I wiped down my counter tops, stove, appliances, cutting boards, microwave, cabinets, handles on everything I could find and more.  It cleaned great and even dissolved grease on my stove top.

Next, I decided to see how it worked on produce.  I had read about how a woman used it to clean strawberries and the unit told her 1 cycle was not enough, that there were still pesticides on the fruit and it needed another cycle.  Can you imagine how we just rinse fruit under the tap and eat it!!!  I had three pounds of fresh cherries, I put them in the bowl and ran a cleaning cycle.  I was able to just drain them in the bowl when they were done with the strainer top and they were so clean and delicious.

Fruit and veggies last longer too when the bacteria on them is killed. How many times in the last few years have we heard about salmonella on fresh veggies?  Now, you can protect your family by using the lotus to sanitize all your produce, it last longer and you know it is free from bacteria and pesticides.  Meats, Poultry, Pacifiers, Toothbrushes, nail clippers, toys, nipples, orthodontic retainers, and much more can be cleaned and sanitized in the bowl.

I am hooked now, we use a lot of produce in the raw form as we are big Vitamixers and believe me everything from berries to spinach will be going in this baby.  I appreciate that if the kids got a hold of the bottle it is just water and not full of chemicals that tell you they are harmful to children and animals.  The Lotus Home Cleaning System will save you money, because you are not buying cleaners and your food will last longer when cleaned in the Lotus, so you are wasting less food. The unit uses cartridges that will last for about 90 cycles.  They only cost about $8 each so very reasonable considering you do not need to buy a ton of different cleaners.

For more videos on the Lotus Cleaning System check their page on YouTube.

3 pounds of cherries ready to go in.

So does the Lotus Home Cleaning System sound like it would have a place in your home?  Then you will be thrilled to know that Lotus is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their very own Lotus Home Cleaning System.  Thank you Lotus for the review cleaning system and for sponsoring this great give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!

ICE POP JOY by Anni Daulter Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Perfect time for this give-away during our recent heatwave.  I received a copy of ICE POP JOY to review.   This great book has oodles of recipes for organic, healthy, fresh and delicious ice pops.  I really love these recipes because we are big VitaMixers in this household and it is so easy to puree the fresh fruits and herbs into delicious ice pops that are loaded with nutrition and free of sugars and preservatives.  I grow all my own herbs and a lot of our veggies so when I saw that the strawberry lemon ice pops used fresh mint, I knew it would be the first one to try.  Prep was so easy because of our VitaMix you can throw the strawberries in whole with the tops, squeeze in the lemon juice, throw the mint in like it is and add water, ice and honey.  I debated putting the honey in at all because my kids drink smoothies without any sweetners and love them.  Since it was only 4 Tbsp. and I wanted to follow the recipe, I did, but I think the next time I will try without and see if there is any real difference.  I put in some extra sweet mint and these pops were so refreshing, the kids little and big loved them.  My oldest daughter must have consumed at least 4 of them herself.  The recipe said it makes 6 pops but I added some larger quantites and ended up with 8 pops and six or seven 3 0z. Dixie cups of pops.  I apologize for the huge popsickle sticks in the Dixie cups but I went to several stores and they were all out of the regular size.  Guess between summer kids crafts and ice pops they could not keep them in stock.

Ready for the freezer.

Ready to be enjoyed.

This book has recipes for ice pops to soothe sore throats, chocolate pops, herbal tea pops, fruit and tofu pops, pops with nuts, breakfast pops and so many more.

So is your mouth watering?  Then you will be excited to learn that Sellers Publishing, Inc. is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their very own copy of ICE POP JOY.  Thank you Sellers Publishing for the review book and for sponsoring this refreshingly sweet give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!
